About TR01
TR01 is Tangent Robotics' two-finger tactile-hand prototype for dexterous-manipulation research. Each finger has four independently actuated joints, giving the hand eight degrees of freedom and redundant control of fingertip position and orientation.
Magnetic trackers drive a fingertip-relative teleoperation stack, while Popcorn tactile sensing supports contact-based manipulation research. Tangent has also demonstrated autonomous container flipping, SD-card pickup, threading and gear installation with vision-and-touch policies trained from teleoperated demonstrations.
