About
About Sonny
Sonny is Tutor Intelligence's wheeled, dual-arm robot for item-level picking and other hand-work in existing warehouses. A vertical lift positions its two arms around shelves and workstations. Force-controlled pinching grippers handle varied product shapes, while depth cameras on the head, torso and wrists provide views of the work area. Its Ti-series vision-language-action models connect perception with manipulation.
Tutor offers Sonny for warehouse fulfilment, kitting, sorting, packing and machine-tending applications. The service connects to a site's warehouse management system and carries completed orders to packout. A remote operations team monitors the robots, with maintenance and support included in usage-based arrangements. Tutor also offers outright purchase with an annual service plan.

- Tutor Intelligence unveils next-generation Sonny for e-commerce picking
2026-09-16 - Product Launch - The proposed workflow spans autonomous travel through existing warehouses, picking varied items from racking and taking completed orders to packout. Tutor says the new generation will be the first deployed robot running its 4.5-billion-parameter Ti0 vision-language-action model. An earlier Sonny prototype powers Tutor’s 100-robot Data Factory 1 for robot training and evaluation.

2026-04-30 - Capability - An international team uses VR proprioceptive teleoperation to demonstrate tasks and correct robot errors. Ti0 combines human interventions, offline behavior ratings and velocity normalization across different teleoperators. The Sonny training platform shares collaborative hardware, sensing, electrical systems and a manufacturing supply chain with Cassie.
