Universal Humanoid Robot
About
About Universal Humanoid Robot
Dreame’s Universal Humanoid Robot is a human-size bipedal research prototype introduced in 2023. The 178 cm, 56 kg robot has 44 degrees of freedom, including six in each leg. Dreame demonstrated indoor and outdoor walking, single-leg balance and recovery from external disturbances, alongside coordinated upper-body movement.
At the 2023 World Robot Conference, the prototype prepared latte art using visual recognition of cups and tools. Dreame described training machine-learning models to recognize these objects in different environments and coordinate the manipulation task. These demonstrations document the historical platform’s locomotion and handling research. They establish an exhibited prototype with task-specific demonstrations; the newer ECHO S1 and ECHO P1 research platforms announced in 2026 are separately named systems.
