Walker S1
About
About Walker S1
Walker S1 is UBTECH's bipedal industrial platform for configured tasks in vehicle manufacturing. Its software combines language-model task planning, semantic visual localisation and mapping, and learning-based whole-body control. These systems coordinate perception, walking and manipulation around production equipment and human workers.
S1 has been introduced into automotive assembly lines, working alongside autonomous logistics vehicles and AMRs or AGVs through manufacturing-management software. Its development addresses visual positioning under changing lighting, movement under dynamic loads and joint cooling during extended high-load operation. This is a factory integration and task-training programme: the robot's role depends on the workcell, learned task and connected production systems. S1 is a distinct generation within the Walker industrial line, separate from the later S2 battery-swapping platform.
