About WEISS WSG 50-110

WSG 50-110 is the larger exact model in WEISS Robotics’ WSG servo-electric gripper line, not a family record for the smaller WSG 32-068. It provides 110 mm of full stroke, a 5–80 N gripping-force range and independently pre-positionable synchronized fingers. WEISS specifies ±0.005 mm repeatability, a maximum finger speed of 420 mm/s and a 0.2-second reference cycle at 4 mm stroke. Rated workpiece mass is 3.0 kg for form-fit gripping or 0.8 kg for force-fit gripping.

The gripper uses integrated workpiece detection and continuous grip monitoring so part-contact logic can run within the module rather than relying only on external switches. Ethernet and TCP/IP with the text-based GCL protocol support configuration and control; PROFIBUS and optional PROFINET expand factory integration. Lua scripting can implement local grip routines, while optional force-measuring fingers close the force-control loop at the contact surface. The IP20 module requires an appropriate industrial environment, robot flange, fingers, cabling and application-level safeguarding.
