About Astribot
Astribot develops humanoid robots and software-hardware systems for physical-AI research and manipulation.
Astribot S1 is a 170 cm humanoid research platform with two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, a stated 5 kg horizontal payload per arm and an open development toolchain. The company supports APIs, simulation, visual development, data collection, teleoperation and model deployment around the robot. Current official evidence is strongest for research and enterprise development, not deployed household service.

- Astribot publishes SmoothRL online-learning results on S1
2026-08-30 - Research Publication - Training separates committed, executed and discarded actions so policy gradients use only actions the robot physically executes. After 250 rollout episodes, success reached 94% for tossing, 83% for pen capping and 90% for box opening. The training system supports VR takeover and residual joystick correction while the robot operates.
Source - Astribot publishes Lumo-2 world-action model research
2026-07-13 - Research Publication - The report introduces a latent world-action model that reasons over world dynamics in latent space before generating robot actions. Astribot says Lumo-2 improves over Lumo-1 through predictive latent dynamics, progressive modality pre-alignment and broader multi-source data scaling. The official research page highlights real-world evaluations covering temporal reasoning, physical understanding, long-horizon tasks and dexterous manipulation.
Source - Astribot publishes Lumo-1 research paper on embodied reasoning and robotic control
2025-12-09 - Research Publication - Astribot researchers published the Lumo-1 paper describing a generalist vision-language-action model that unifies robot reasoning with robot action. The paper details a three-stage training pipeline spanning embodied reasoning, cross-embodiment robot data, and action training on Astribot S1 trajectories. This is the cleanest research-release event for Astribot because it is tied to a dated public paper rather than undated company copy.

At launch, the China starting price was CNY89,900, presented alongside an approximate US$13,165 equivalent. The design combines cable-driven manipulation with customizable AI computing for service-robot and VLA development.
Source - 2025-12-09 - Capability - Astribot introduces Lumo-1 model for embodied reasoning
Astribot introduced Lumo-1 as a generalist vision-language-action model designed to connect robot reasoning with robot action. The official research page and paper describe a three-stage training pipeline combining embodied reasoning, cross-embodiment robot data, and action training on Astribot S1 trajectories. This is the most important software-side company event because it turns Astribot from a hardware demo story into a stronger embodied-intelligence platform story.
