FarmDroid builds solar-powered field robots for seeding and weed control. The FD20 records each seed position with RTK guidance during planting, then uses that map to remove weeds both between and within rows before weeds or crops need to be recognised by a camera. Row spacing, plant distance, seeding depth and operating tolerances can be adjusted for different crops and soils.
The 1,250-kilogram platform stays in the field through the growing season and can add power banks for low-sun conditions. FarmDroid also offers a precision micro-spraying option for targeted treatment around known plant positions. The company reports more than 500 robots operating across 26 countries and support for over 100 crop types, placing the FD20 beyond trial-only maturity.

NEO TECH had already been involved in FarmDroid commercialization in France since 2020. The partnership expanded local service coverage for FD20 seeding, weeding, and spraying robots.
