About Jaia Robotics
JaiaBots are launched in groups and alternate between surface transits and programmed dives, collecting depth profiles, bottom measurements and environmental observations across a survey area. Their compact size allows several vehicles to be transported and deployed from a small boat or shoreline rather than requiring a dedicated survey vessel.
A communications hub coordinates missions and receives data when vehicles surface, while cloud software maps results and manages the fleet. Payloads support bathymetry, current, temperature, dissolved oxygen and other water-quality measurements. Customers can purchase the system or use Jaia’s survey services for coastal engineering, environmental monitoring, aquaculture, offshore-energy and defence work.

- 2024-03-12 - Product Launch - Jaia Robotics introduces JaiaBot-PAM passive acoustic monitoring system
JaiaBot-PAM combines Jaia's micro-AUV platform with passive acoustic monitoring payloads. The launch extended the JaiaBot system into acoustic data collection for marine mammal, infrastructure and defense applications. Marine Acoustics was named as the collaboration partner for the monitoring capability.

The award supported validation of JaiaBot micro-AUVs in coastal and shallow-water environments. Jaia said the work was funded through a U.S. Geological Survey grant to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The project focused on reducing the cost and complexity of collecting ocean data at scale.
