About
About Elodin
Elodin connects a Rust and Python simulation toolkit with flight software and the Aleph flight computer. Engineers define vehicle physics and control algorithms, then run simulations using JAX and XLA on GPUs. Software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing link those models to the code and equipment intended for the vehicle.
Aleph uses a modular architecture with commercial components and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin module for onboard computation. The software offering includes satellite attitude control and live telemetry, giving teams tools for both development and operation. Customers can adopt individual parts of the stack around existing flight hardware and engineering workflows.

Timeline
Events
- 2024-08-01 - Product Launch - Elodin introduces Aleph flight computer as its first hardware product
Aleph pairs an Nvidia Jetson Orin NX module for AI and computer-vision workloads with an STM32H757 microcontroller for hard real-time processing. The two-board design combines a main compute board with a mission-customizable expansion board carrying inertial, magnetic and pressure sensors. Elodin shipped the platform with a source-available flight controller intended for custom missions, including operation in GPS-denied environments.
Source - 2024-06-30 - Demonstration - Elodin demonstrates ROCI flight software on customer satellite hardware
Elodin integrated an attitude-determination system built with ROCI into a customer satellite and tested it against satellite hardware. The demonstration used Elodin as a real-time visualizer, showing the framework moving from simulation into a hardware-in-the-loop workflow. The same update added Basilisk support so existing spacecraft-simulation modules could be packaged into ROCI flight software.
Source - 2024-03-27 - Funding - Elodin closes $2M pre-seed round for unified flight infrastructure
The $2 million pre-seed financing backed Elodin's unified platform for simulation, flight software and aerospace hardware. Named institutional supporters included Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Karman Ventures and Leonis Investissement. The company also disclosed participation from Kulveer Taggar and a group of founders, funds and angel investors.
