About Radical
Radical is developing Evenstar, a solar-powered aircraft intended to carry observation and communications payloads in the stratosphere. The design targets operation around 20 kilometres altitude, with payload functions including detailed video collection and direct-to-device connectivity. The aircraft can return for payload changes and is intended to reposition coverage as requirements change.
The programme distinguishes tested aircraft from its longer-duration operating ambition. Radical has flown a full-scale Evenstar prototype and multiple smaller aircraft, including an autonomous prototype that completed more than 24 hours at low altitude. Months-long stratospheric operation remains the intended service capability. Its development work connects lightweight flight hardware with payload capacity and solar-powered endurance for a reusable aerial infrastructure platform.
