Calyo wins railway-platform 3D Sound + AI safety trial contract
Calyo secured a UK transport-innovation contract to demonstrate acoustic AI at the railway platform-train interface.

Evidence notes
- The system creates an ultrasound safety curtain for falls, gap incidents and track trespass, including when no train is present.
- Calyo says the sensing remains usable in rain, fog, darkness and crowded environments where visibility-based sensors can be constrained.
- The programme includes a live demonstration in a representative station environment for rail stakeholders.
Company context
Calyo develops 3-D ultrasound sensors and perception software for autonomous vehicles and mobile robots. Its PULSE and SENSUS systems add close-range sensing and redundancy in rain, fog, spray, glare and low-light conditions.
