About Viam
Viam provides a common software interface to the motors, sensors and services that make up a machine. Developers write application logic through SDKs while hardware interfaces handle communication with individual components, allowing a machine’s software structure to carry from a prototype into a fleet.
Its data-management tools can record camera images, sensor readings and component state locally, then synchronise those records to the cloud. Capture methods and rates are configured for the selected components, connecting physical operation with later analysis. Viam combines these software services with cloud management and also offers SurfaceAI for robotic finishing, applying its platform to a specific manufacturing workflow.
