About Terabee
Terabee began in 2012 as a drone-inspection company working around complex infrastructure and GPS-denied environments. Its early robotics work led to compact time-of-flight distance sensors and depth cameras used for collision avoidance, positioning and environmental sensing on ground and aerial robots.
The company later concentrated its current commercial activity on smart-building sensing, including people counting and indoor air-quality systems. Its TeraRanger robotics range is therefore treated as a legacy product line: the company continues to document the technology and its history, but withdrew the distance-sensor range in May 2024. Korthos preserves those products as discontinued systems rather than presenting them as current commercial hardware.

Timeline
Events
- 2022-11-24 - Market Signal - Terabee marked ten years since founding
Terabee traced its first decade from drone inspection work around complex infrastructure to compact sensing products. The company said its robotics work produced time-of-flight distance sensors and 3D cameras for anti-collision and positioning. Terabee described a later strategic shift toward smart-building products for people counting and air-quality monitoring.

The financing was intended to provide short- to medium-term funding while Terabee strengthened its commercial position. The board was evaluating a merger, other M&A options and a conventional fundraising round for the company’s next stage. Terabee reported more than 50 employees at its Pays de Gex headquarters and expected a fourth consecutive year of growth.
