About 8i Robotics
8i Robotics organises its spinal-surgery platform around coordinated visualisation and instrument functions. A head-mounted imaging role provides the surgeon's view, while separate arms carry a powered precision screwdriver and an ultrasonic bone-cutting tool. Electromagnetic navigation and intraoperative imaging are integrated with the robotic instruments for open and minimally invasive procedures.
The design brings navigation, visualisation and physical tool assistance into a common surgeon-led workflow. Its development focus is on coordinating these functions across the stages of spinal surgery, including bone preparation and screw placement. Regulatory submissions remain pending, and the company states that the device is not available for sale in Canada or the United States.

- 2026-07-15 - Deployment - IMPLANET installs 8i multi-arm surgical robot at Amiens-Picardie
The system was installed at the SimUSanté active-learning simulation centre within Amiens-Picardie University Hospital. Hospital-university teams in the GRECO robotic-surgery research group will conduct preclinical evaluation. The preclinical programme supports IMPLANET’s European regulatory pathway before clinical use.
