About Applanix
Applanix combines satellite positioning, inertial measurement and sensor-fusion software to calculate a platform's position and orientation while it moves. POS AV serves airborne cameras, lidar and radar; POS LV supports road, rail, mining and mobile-mapping vehicles; and POS MV supplies six-axis motion data for hydrographic vessels. Compact APX and AP+ modules embed the same functions in drones and OEM systems.
POSPac software post-processes trajectories, calibrates sensor alignment and directly georeferences collected imagery or point clouds. Trimble CenterPoint RTX corrections can provide centimetre-level results without a local base station, while IN-Fusion+ maintains continuity through urban canyons, foliage and other poor-GNSS environments. Desktop, cloud and one-button hydrographic workflows support individual survey crews, autonomous fleets and service-platform integrations.
