fischer BAUBOT develops mobile construction robots for drilling and related site work. Its MRS15 combines a mobile base, manipulator and tool system to drill concrete walls, floors and ceilings at specified positions, angles, depths and diameters. Robot missions can be generated from building-information models, while external total-station localisation places the machine against the project coordinate system without premarking every hole.

The platform is designed for tunnels, high-rise buildings, bridges and infrastructure projects, where applications include drilling, anchor installation, layout marking, grinding and positioning equipment. Sensors and collision-detection functions support operation around active construction crews, and each delivered system undergoes functional-safety and task-acceptance testing before customer handover. BAUBOT recorded 3,717 completed concrete holes during a certified 24-hour semi-autonomous drilling run in September 2025, demonstrating sustained operation across three drilling orientations. The company also offers pilot projects and adapts its robotic system to project-specific construction workflows.

  • 2025-10-30 - Award - fischer BAUBOT wins Guinness World Records title for 24-hour concrete drilling

    The certified attempt on 10–11 September produced 3,717 completed concrete holes across wall, floor and ceiling applications. Each hole met the stated minimum 10 mm diameter and 50 mm depth, with no overlaps permitted. The robot ran for the full 24 hours with only brief scheduled stops for tool and drill-bit changes.

  • 2025-06-01 - Deployment - BAUBOT MRS15 drills 8,960 holes in Engelberg Tunnel restoration

    The project used one to three MRS15 systems across two phases, drilling holes 20 millimetres wide and 220 millimetres deep. Planning and Simulation Environment software let the team adjust the drilling programme around reinforcement without rebuilding on-site mission files. The robots worked day and night shifts while the tunnel remained operational, reducing prolonged manual exposure to vibration and difficult working conditions.

    Kajima researchers in Singapore used two terminals to plan tasks and monitor a construction-robotics laboratory in Germany. Task data passed through the BIMxD environment into BAUBOT navigation and robotic execution components. The pilot combined contributions from BAUBOT, DFKI, Catenda, STAM, SINTEF, Ricoh and Kajima in one digital construction workflow.

    The transaction moved BauBot from fischer majority ownership, established in 2022, to full group ownership. fischer and BauBot had jointly developed and commercialised the BauBot construction robot before the takeover.
