BETA Technologies develops the ALIA CTOL conventional aircraft and ALIA VTOL vertical-lift aircraft on a common electric-aviation stack. The company builds motors, inverters, battery packs and flight-control systems as well as complete airframes. In July 2026 it unveiled MV250, a hybrid-electric autonomous VTOL derived from ALIA architecture for contested logistics, with a stated 2,000-pound payload, 250-nautical-mile range and one-megawatt ground-power function.

A 188,000-square-foot final-assembly facility in South Burlington anchors production, while interoperable Charge Cube equipment supports aircraft and airport vehicles at more than 100 deployed or planned sites. ALIA aircraft have accumulated extensive flight testing and customer demonstrations, but civil certification remains a key maturity boundary. MV250 is a newer defence programme scheduled for further military exercises after its Farnborough debut.

  • 2026-07-20 - Product Launch - BETA unveils MV250 autonomous hybrid military logistics VTOL

    MV250 carries a 2,000 lb payload within a 250-nautical-mile tactical radius and has a 1,300-nautical-mile reposition range. The platform uses BETA's ALIA architecture and a GE Aerospace-BETA turbogenerator with a CT7/T700-based turbine. Build-up flight tests have demonstrated both Sikorsky MATRIX and BETA autonomy systems on the aircraft architecture.

  • 2026-07-09 - Partnership - Horizon selects BETA flight controls for Cavorite X7

    Horizon will integrate BETA flight-control computers and customized fly-by-wire software into the full-scale Cavorite X7 during development, testing and certification. BETA says the VTOL-specific platform combines safety-critical software, system redundancy and a flexible architecture, with hardware designed to DAL-A development rigor. Horizon will use the same flight-control computer hardware as BETA's own aircraft fleet, providing shared manufacturing scale and component-cost benefits.

    Eve selected BETA Technologies to supply electric pusher motors for conforming prototypes and production aircraft. The selection followed Eve purchasing, testing and validating BETA motors in its engineering prototype. The agreement represents a potential ten-year opportunity of up to $1 billion, with dual pusher motors providing propulsion redundancy during cruise.
