About Department 13
Department 13 develops radio-frequency systems for detecting, identifying and tracking drones and their controllers. Scout passively listens for control and telemetry signals, providing omnidirectional coverage in fixed or temporary deployments, while Atlas presents detections and airspace activity to operators.
DART adds directional sensing and ADDN links multiple nodes into a wider detection network. The software-defined architecture receives library updates as drone protocols change and can exchange data with other security systems. Department 13 serves defence, law enforcement, corrections, events and critical infrastructure operators that need persistent awareness of cooperative and unauthorised aircraft.

- 2016-07-05 - Product Launch - Department 13 launches MESMER-EX counter-drone system for U.S. market
Department 13 launched the MESMER-EX counter-drone system as it targeted the U.S. counter-UAS market. MESMER-EX was presented as a system for detecting, identifying and mitigating drone threats. The launch connected Department 13 technology to U.S. security demand around unauthorized drones.
