About Filics

Filics develops autonomous pallet-transport systems for production and warehouse logistics. Founded in Munich in 2019, the company develops its own robot hardware, navigation and control software, with manufacturing in Munich. Its current Streamliner system uses two independently driven, low-profile runners that move beneath a pallet and coordinate their movements to carry it through existing industrial layouts.

The runners move in any direction without turning the pallet, supporting side extraction and transfers in spaces with limited manoeuvring room. Filics combines the transport hardware with software for coordinating material flows and interfaces to other equipment. OmniCarrier supports different load carriers, while OmniFlow adds process logic for more complex routes. Truck loading is offered as an additional application module. The company works with industrial users on introducing autonomous transport into existing production and logistics processes.

Events

  • 2026-03-19 - Product Launch - Filics previews a redesigned generation of the Filics Unit

Updates included lower vehicle height, new lifting modules and a revised laser-scanner configuration. Rebuilt navigation software and VDA 5050 compatibility were intended to support integration through external fleet-management partners. Further tests were planned for additional load carriers and automated truck loading and unloading.

  • 2025-07-07 - Funding - Filics secures €13.5 million to scale autonomous pallet moving robots.

Filics has received €13.5 million in funding to further develop its autonomous transport robots and expand into European markets. The round is led by the Bayern 2 growth fund of the investment company Bayern Kapital. The financing supports continued product development, deployment scaling, and commercialization of the company's robotics platform.

  • 2025-07-07 - Funding - Filics closes EUR 13.5M Series A for pallet-handling robots

Sandwater and F-LOG Ventures led the round, joined by institutional investors and individual backers. The capital supported product development and international expansion. Filics planned to expand into additional European markets in 2026 after trials with industrial and logistics companies in Germany.

  • 2025-03-31 - Capability - Filics and SICK integrate safety sensing into Unit AMRs

Filics integrated two SICK nanoScan3 safety laser scanners—one at the front and one at the rear of each Unit—to protect people and material in tight intralogistics spaces. The scanners provide precise measurements for safety and vehicle localization, with 128 configurable fields reaching up to 3 metres and a 275-degree scanning angle. SICK’s Safety Designer software lets Filics configure and import the protection fields so Unit can enter, pass through and leave pallet positions safely.
