About IMPLANET
The JAZZ platform uses braided sublaminar bands as a complement to screws and rods in complex spinal fixation. Surgeons pass the bands around vertebral structures and connect them to the correction construct, creating additional fixation points for deformity correction and stabilisation.
IMPLANET supplies the implant and instrument layer rather than a complete surgical robot. Its robotics exposure comes through work to integrate its spinal products with image-guided and robot-assisted procedures, including European evaluation activity involving 8i Robotics technology. That work remains developmental and should not be presented as a commercially established robotic-surgery platform.

- 2026-07-15 - Deployment - IMPLANET installs 8i multi-arm surgical robot at Amiens-Picardie
The system was installed at the SimUSanté active-learning simulation centre within Amiens-Picardie University Hospital. Hospital-university teams in the GRECO robotic-surgery research group will conduct preclinical evaluation. The preclinical programme supports IMPLANET’s European regulatory pathway before clinical use.

The first milestone covers clinical research supporting European regulatory compliance for the multi-arm surgical system. IMPLANET and 8i planned research with French hospitals and preparation for CE marking. The system combines three coordinated arms, electromagnetic navigation and an integrated digital microscope.
