Locus Robotics
About
About Locus Robotics
LocusONE coordinates several robot formats within a shared warehouse operating layer. Origin travels between pick locations alongside workers, Vector provides omnidirectional transport for heavier loads, and Array automates container movement across picking, putaway, induction and sortation workflows. The software allocates work dynamically, without permanently assigning each robot to a fixed route.
Deployments connect with warehouse-management and labour-management systems and can be introduced by process or facility zone without rebuilding the complete site. Locus supplies the robots through a subscription model that includes deployment, software, fleet monitoring and continuing optimisation. Its systems operate across hundreds of fulfilment facilities serving retail, healthcare, industrial and third-party-logistics customers.

Notes
Profile notes
- Locus grew out of a warehouse operator losing access to Kiva robots
reviewed 2026-07-18 - Locus Robotics emerged from Quiet Logistics after Amazon acquired Kiva Systems and reserved the Kiva platform for its own fulfilment network. Quiet had operated warehouses using Kiva and created Locus when it needed a replacement automation system for third-party logistics work.
Source - Locus scaled collaborative picking by keeping people in the loop
reviewed 2026-07-20 - Locus robots transport totes and dynamically direct workers through picking while software coordinates the fleet. Billion-pick milestones demonstrate repeated production use, but the economics rely on pairing robots with people rather than eliminating manual picking. Calling it a fully autonomous warehouse obscures the model that enabled scale.
