About Piasecki Aircraft
Piasecki Aircraft develops and flight-tests advanced vertical-lift and uncrewed aircraft. ARES is a modular tilt-duct VTOL system built around a reusable flight module and interchangeable payload modules for logistics, intelligence, communications and other expeditionary missions from confined landing areas.
The ARES demonstrator completed tethered hover flights with and without the US Army's Mobile Multiple Mission Module in 2024. Piasecki has also developed Turais air-launched surveillance aircraft, KlearPath autonomous navigation and landing technology, and the PA-890 slowed-rotor compound aircraft. Its programme work spans aerodynamic design, rapid prototyping, fly-by-wire control, electric and hydrogen propulsion, systems integration and experimental flight operations.
