Revolute Robotics develops a hybrid inspection robot that rolls inside a protective spherical frame and flies when it encounters obstacles or gaps. This dual-mode mobility conserves energy on flat surfaces while allowing the platform to cross stairs, debris and vertical discontinuities in confined industrial spaces.

Interchangeable cameras and sensors support inspection and public-safety missions, and autonomy software plans movement where GPS is unavailable. The cage protects propulsion and payloads during contact with structures. Revolute is developing the system for tanks, tunnels, mines, plants and emergency environments that are difficult or unsafe for people to enter.
