ThayerMahan’s maritime systems are built around distributed passive sensing rather than continuous patrol by a large crewed vessel. Outpost is an energy-harvesting surface vehicle that tows a large-aperture acoustic array below the surface layer, while SeaPicket combines buoy and seabed sensors for months-long monitoring. SeaGuard provides modular physical barriers against divers and uncrewed underwater vehicles.
TransparenSea connects these assets through onboard signal processing, encrypted satellite links and a cloud-based operating environment. Acoustic detections are processed at the edge, reviewed by analysts and delivered as tracks, alerts or API data to naval, offshore-energy and infrastructure operators. The company supplies complete surveillance services, including deployment, remote operation and data interpretation, enabling customers to maintain persistent coverage around ports, cables, pipelines and offshore installations without building an internal autonomous-systems fleet.
