DOBOT CR5

About

About DOBOT CR5

CR5 carries up to five kilograms across a 900-millimetre reach with stated repeatability of ±0.02 millimetres. Operators can guide the arm by hand to record positions and paths, reducing the programming required for short-run and frequently changing production tasks.

Five adjustable collision-sensitivity levels allow the system to respond differently across applications and surrounding workspaces. DOBOT provides graphical programming, external I/O and integrations for grippers, cameras and process tools, supporting assembly, inspection, screwdriving, tending and material handling within one configurable cobot platform.

  • A geometric inverse kinematics solution for the dobot CR5

2026-03-01 - Research Publication - Abstract The inverse kinematics algorithm is a core enabling technology for robotic manipulators to perform tasks. This study focuses on the Dobot CR5, a 6-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) serial robotic manipulator. The Denavit-Hartenberg(D-H) modeling method is adopted to describe the kinematic structure of the manipulator. Based on geometric projection and spatial geometric construction, the solution of joint angles is systematically divided into three parts: (1) The angle of Joint 1 is solved via geometric projection onto the base plane; (2) The angles of Joints 2 and 3 are obtained by constructing a planar triangle and applying coordinate projections in the vertical plane; (3) The three wrist joint angles (Joints 4, 5, and 6) are determined through coordinate frame projections based on the desired end-effector orientation. The accuracy of the inverse kinematics solution is validated by com
