EGR Valve Assembly Line

About

About EGR Valve Assembly Line

JR Automation's EGR Valve Assembly Line combines hydropneumatic insertion, leak testing, welding, screwdriving and gear assembly. Insertion stations monitor force and stroke when fitting bushings, bearings and shafts. A micrometric adjustment mechanism sets flap opening, with a rotary table moving parts through loading, adjustment, rechecking and unloading.

For gear assembly, a camera determines the incoming gear angle and a compliant gripper measures engagement through an analogue sensor. The robot makes small rotational corrections until the teeth mesh. Laser welding then joins the sector gear to its shaft. These specialised operations allow the line to assemble its two valve configurations while controlling both mechanical alignment and leakage.
