Lamprey MMAUV

Lamprey MMAUV is Lockheed Martin’s multi-mission autonomous undersea vehicle for persistent sensing, decoy, seabed and payload-delivery missions. Its open architecture includes a 24-cubic-foot payload bay, with optional UAV launch tubes and other mission kits. The vehicle can attach to a host ship or submarine and recharge through built-in hydrogenators without modifying the host.

Lockheed Martin says Lamprey has demonstrated autonomous manoeuvre and surveillance at sea. During the 2026 LANTERNFISH exercise, an MMAUV v1.0 configuration surveyed a cable route and then placed a payload at the surveyed location in a GPS-denied environment. That test established an integrated survey-and-emplacement workflow beyond the product’s February 2026 unveiling.
