Memo

About

About Memo

Memo is Sunday's household robot for chores involving objects, work surfaces and appliances. A low wheeled base, lifting body and two articulated arms let it work around a home. The company publishes demonstrations of espresso preparation, sock folding, table clearing and dishwasher loading, with the robot carrying out selected tasks autonomously.

Sunday trains Memo using demonstrations collected by Memory Developers wearing its Skill Capture Glove. The glove and robot hand are designed together so recorded human actions can support robot learning across varied homes. Sunday is preparing a household beta for late 2026, with applications open to prospective participating families. Memo is not yet available for purchase; the company plans to use beta findings to refine the production robot.

Research

  • ACT-2 Preview: Generalizing Reliability

2026-07-17 - Research Publication - Sunday reports 778 successful autonomous laundry folds across 785 attempts on physical Memo robots, using a fixed ACT-2 checkpoint across unseen environments without per-home adaptation. The declared distribution spans nine garment types; other household tasks have separate, unevaluated demonstration status.

Timeline

  • Sunday Robotics previews ACT-2 laundry-folding model

2026-07-17 - Research Publication - The fixed checkpoint completed 778 folds across nine garment types without home-specific data or post-training; socks, bras, underwear and accessories were outside the declared folding scope. Successful folds took a median 2 minutes 13 seconds; 98.3% received four or five stars under a grading rubric fixed before evaluation.

Context

Market context

Memo is Sunday Robotics' wheeled home mobile manipulator trained on glove-captured human demonstrations.

  • Target environment: Homes, kitchens, laundry areas and domestic environments where a wheeled robot can perform repeated household tasks.
  • Workflow context: Dishwasher loading, laundry handling, simple food preparation, demonstration learning and domestic mobile manipulation.
  • Customer context: Households, consumer robotics evaluators and partners interested in practical home-task automation.
  • Deployment model: Development-stage home mobile manipulator built around real household demonstration data.
  • Commercial maturity: Development-stage product with public positioning and limited deployment evidence.
  • Adoption constraints: Adoption depends on task reliability, safety, cost, household variability, manipulation skill and maintenance.
  • Market position: Home mobile-manipulator lane using wheeled stability and demonstration data instead of a bipedal humanoid body.
  • Adjacent products: Matic, Weave Isaac, 1X Neo, LG CLOiD
