OpenDroids DH116

About

About OpenDroids DH116

DH116 is a five-finger hand with 11 total degrees of freedom, including six active and five coupled passive joints. The approximately 490-gram unit supports hook loads up to 30 kilograms and provides hybrid field-oriented, position and tactile-force control for grasping objects with varied geometry.

Optional tactile arrays provide more than 500 sensing points, while EtherCAT, CAN FD and RS-485 variants connect the hand to humanoid and research controllers. The mechanism is rated for hundreds of thousands of operating cycles and includes predefined gestures alongside low-level command access. OpenDroids positions DH116 as a lower-cost development hand for humanoids, prosthetics and teleoperation systems.
