OS2 Lidar Sensor

About

About OS2 Lidar Sensor

OS2 is Ouster’s long-range digital lidar, providing up to 128 channels across a 22.5-degree vertical field of view. The current product reaches a stated maximum distance of 400 metres and approximately 200 metres on ten-percent-reflective targets, with up to 2.62 million points per second.

The narrower field and long-range optics target autonomous vehicles, perimeter monitoring, mapping and infrastructure applications where distant object detection matters more than near-field vertical coverage. Ouster’s SDK and perception software process the point cloud across robotics and fixed deployments. OS2 is the current product-family identity, with Rev 7 retained as hardware-generation metadata.
