About

About PL-WitHand

PL-WitHand is PL-Universe's five-finger dexterous hand for embodied robots and industrial manipulators. A tendon-linkage hybrid transmission provides 16 active and four coupled degrees of freedom, combining compliant grasping with repeatable positioning for handling objects of different sizes and shapes.

The 800-gram hand carries up to 10 kilograms and reaches ±0.20-millimetre finger repeatability. Fingertip tactile, vision, joint-angle and six-axis force sensing feed the ProxiGrasp control system, while ROS 2 support connects the hand to host arms and application software. PL-Universe supplies the integrated hand for research and applied manipulation, with task performance determined by the robot arm, perception stack and grasp policy.
