About

About Domo

Domo is Rotaku's compact humanoid development platform for full-body control, locomotion, manipulation and teleoperation research. The standard platform stands about 90 centimetres tall, weighs 20 kilograms and uses 23 degrees of freedom, with simulation assets and whole-body policy-training workflows offered for developers.

Rotaku lists Basic and Developer configurations, with optional onboard compute, teleoperation, dexterous-hand and lidar kits. Prices, included software and hardware vary by configuration, and Domo Plus is a separate larger platform.

Context

Market context

Low-cost humanoid developer platform from Rotaku, aimed at labs, educators, and independent builders that need an accessible bipedal robot rather than a full industrial system.

  • Target environment: Research labs, classrooms, developer workbenches, robotics clubs and embodied-AI experimentation settings.
  • Workflow context: Bipedal control, manipulation research, teleoperation, sim-to-real policy work and affordable humanoid development.
  • Customer context: Educators, researchers, developers and builders needing a smaller humanoid platform below industrial humanoid pricing.
  • Deployment model: Preorder developer-platform model tied to Rotaku's low-cost humanoid positioning.
  • Commercial maturity: Preorder-stage product with published positioning and limited field-deployment evidence.
  • Adoption constraints: Adoption depends on developer support, hardware reliability, software access, spare parts, documentation and research-task suitability.
  • Market position: Accessible humanoid developer platform aimed at lowering the cost of bipedal robotics experimentation.
  • Adjacent products: Domo Plus, Unitree G1 EDU, ROBOTIS OP3, Reachy Mini
