Walker Tienkung

About

About Walker Tienkung

Walker Tienkung is UBTECH's full-size bipedal robot family for academic research, education and application development. Open joint and sensor interfaces connect the physical robot to teleoperation, data collection and training tools. URDF models and reinforcement-learning frameworks support work on locomotion and manipulation policies.

Two configurations share a 1.72-metre body but differ substantially in movement and computing hardware. Voice & Vision has 21 degrees of freedom, four-joint arms and non-functional hands. Embodied Intelligence has 42 degrees of freedom, seven-joint arms and six-degree-of-freedom hands. The latter also adds force/torque sensing and a second Jetson AGX Orin. Both use ROS 2 and CAN/EtherCAT communication, with a manufacturer-rated three-hour runtime. They form a research platform family rather than the Walker S industrial robot line.
