Cuebus
About
About Cuebus
Drive coils are installed in the warehouse structure, leaving each carrier without its own motor or battery. Shelves and trays can move horizontally and vertically through the same modular grid, and storage capacity can be expanded without reserving fixed travel aisles for conventional mobile robots.
Cuebus supplies the mechanical grid, motion controls and warehouse-management software as one installation. The range includes tote handling and the CUEBUS Pallet 200kg configuration; the same linear-transport principle is also being adapted for Japan's Automated Logistics Road demonstration at Narita Airport.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-09-28 - Deployment - Cuebus announces CUEBUS backroom pilot with Nitori
The pilot will evaluate high-density storage and the time needed to store, locate and retrieve merchandise in an existing store backroom. Nitori and Cuebus will assess worker workload, safety and compatibility with current store operations. CUEBUS uses linear-motor transport and three-dimensional storage without aisles to bring selected merchandise to a designated location.
Source - 2026-09-10 - Partnership - Cuebus, Yazaki and Yamazen announce humanoid manufacturing trial
The trial is scheduled to begin September 21 at Yazaki’s new Innovation Hub. Parts discharged automatically by the CUEBUS system will be handed to a humanoid for transfer into downstream production processes. The Sept. 10 announcement establishes a planned validation programme, not an already operating deployment.
Source - 2026-09-08 - Contract Award - Cuebus selected for Narita automated-logistics-road trial
The implementation group includes Chiba Prefecture, Narita International Airport, Obayashi Corporation and NTT Data. Testing will use airport facilities and focus on coordinated autonomous running by multiple freight-transport units. The programme targets automated freight movement between Narita Airport and surrounding logistics areas.
