  HOPE is the first interventional-psychiatry network preparing to deploy the robotic system. The system mounts the TMS coil on a robotic arm and adjusts its position as the patient moves. The rollout is separate from HOPE’s earlier use of Zeta’s non-robotic TMS Navigation System.

  The initiative combines D-cycloserine neuroplastic therapy with TMS under robotic-enabled neuronavigation. Development is organized through NRx Defense Systems, a newly incorporated Florida research and development subsidiary. NRx named retired U.S. Navy captain Dr. Dennis McBride as the subsidiary’s first president.

  Three-dimensional imaging and motion-aware tracking support coil alignment to planned brain targets during patient movement. The device is classified as a Class II stereotaxic instrument under 21 CFR 882.4560 and product codes SGE and QFF. Testing with Cambridge and Harvard collaborators reported sub-millimeter translational and sub-degree angular precision in bench, phantom and cadaver settings.

• 2024-06-07 - Capability - Zeta Surgical completes first multicenter clinical study of its navigation system

  Fifteen patients requiring elective or emergency ventriculostomy were successfully cannulated in a single attempt, with no adverse events reported. The trial took place at Singapore General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, led by NNI consultant Dr. Min Wei Chen. The system had received FDA 510(k) clearance in January 2024, before this study-completion announcement.
