About AiM Medical Robotics
AiM's compact robot aligns surgical instruments while MRI supplies updated images during a procedure. The portable design is intended for stereotactic interventions such as placing neurostimulator leads, taking biopsies and delivering therapies. Integrating instrument positioning with ongoing imaging is central to its planned neurosurgical workflow.
A collaboration with Siemens Healthineers is developing the interface between AiM's robot and MAGNETOM scanners, covering 0.55T, 1.5T and 3T systems. The software connection enables data exchange and coordinated operation inside the scanner environment. AiM is advancing the platform toward clinical deployment, with testing and regulatory authorization still part of its development programme.
