About
About Locus Robotics
Locus Robotics develops autonomous mobile robots and warehouse orchestration software for fulfilment operations. Its LocusONE platform coordinates robots, warehouse associates and inventory across picking, putaway, replenishment, transport and sortation. Origin carries orders alongside people, Vector transports heavier loads, and Array combines autonomous movement with robotic grasping for in-aisle fulfilment. The systems serve retailers, third-party logistics providers, healthcare distributors and industrial warehouses.
The company grew out of the team behind Quiet Logistics and supplies its systems through Robots-as-a-Service subscriptions covering hardware, software, deployment and continuing support. Fleets can expand for seasonal demand and combine different robot formats within existing warehouse layouts. Locus integrates with warehouse-management systems and uses operational data to adjust task allocation, routing and fleet performance. Its commercial deployments span hundreds of fulfilment sites, with headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Notes
Profile notes
- Locus grew out of a warehouse operator losing access to Kiva robots
reviewed 2026-07-18 - Locus Robotics emerged from Quiet Logistics after Amazon acquired Kiva Systems and reserved the Kiva platform for its own fulfilment network. Quiet had operated warehouses using Kiva and created Locus when it needed a replacement automation system for third-party logistics work.
Source - Locus pick milestones span collaborative and autonomous fulfilment models
reviewed 2026-10-19 - Locus' early multi-billion-pick milestones came from fleets in which warehouse associates selected items and robots handled travel. Its March 2026 seven-billion-pick account says most picks used the person-to-goods model with Origin and Vector robots. Array added autonomous in-aisle manipulation to the portfolio when it launched commercially in April 2026. LocusONE now coordinates both human-assisted workflows and robots that pick items, so the company's installed fleet and cumulative pick history span different operating models.
