About ACUA Ocean
PIONEER is a medium uncrewed surface vessel built around modular payload space, remote supervision and long-duration offshore operation. The platform can carry surveillance, hydrographic, communications or subsea-support equipment and has been used in defence demonstrations that connect surface, aerial and underwater systems.
ACUA is also developing a nested-robotics capability in which PIONEER launches and recovers smaller subsea vehicles. The vessel has progressed through extended sea trials, UK workboat-code certification and Royal Navy technology programmes, moving it beyond a concept craft while production and fleet scale remain limited.
