Blue Frog Robotics develops Buddy as a social and emotional companion robot. The company describes a programmable Android platform with telepresence, chat, reminders, cognitive stimulation, educational content and scheduling, allowing teams to configure interactions for schools, hospitals, nursing homes and business reception.
Buddy's role is to maintain communication and guide or entertain users in schools, hospitals, nursing homes and reception settings. In schools it can connect hospitalised pupils with classes; in elder-care settings it supports activities and contact; in reception it can welcome and direct visitors. The SDK, content, network, supervision and safeguarding arrangements remain specific to each deployment.

- 2023-01-06 - Demonstration - Blue Frog Robotics demonstrates final-form BUDDY at CES 2023
CES 2023 visitors saw BUDDY in its final commercial form for the first time. Blue Frog Robotics used the show to announce the social robot's launch in the United States. A new application suite allowed customers to configure assistance scenarios for elder care, education and related social-robotics uses.
