About Piaggio Fast Forward
Piaggio Fast Forward develops compact mobile carriers that move with pedestrians. Gita uses cameras and onboard perception to identify and follow its user while balancing and transporting groceries, tools or personal items through pavements, campuses and indoor spaces.
The two-wheel architecture turns around its own axis and matches walking speed without requiring a handheld controller or pre-mapped route. A lockable cargo compartment and user-facing controls support everyday carrying, while developer programmes have explored business and delivery configurations. The Boston-based Piaggio Group subsidiary applies vehicle engineering and human-centred design to machines intended to coexist closely with people.
