Colbotic Automation’s ColWeld software converts taught torch positions into an executable welding sequence. An operator uses the torch’s Freedrive button to establish the path, then selects welding parameters and a weave pattern. The software creates offset positions and controls weld start and stop, while editable points allow the path to be adjusted after teaching.
Optional functions address variations between parts and larger work areas. ColWeld Sense uses touch measurements to detect positional and angular differences and adjust the weld locations. ColWeld II integrates a servo-driven linear track into the same software. Two-workstation operation allows loading on one side while the robot welds on the other, with programs transferable between worktable positions. These functions extend the basic cell into a configurable production setup.

Weld Australia presented Colbotic Automation with a CEO's Award in Adelaide. The organizer recognized accessible collaborative welding for small-to-medium batch production. Australian Manufacturing independently reported Colbotic among the South Australia award recipients.

Colbotic hosted approximately thirty attendees for a practical cobot-welding technical night. Participants saw ColWeld programming, jig design, sensing and multi-step welding demonstrations. The event let attendees program a simple part before welding it on-site.
