About Uniwelco
Uniwelco's welding workflow lets an operator teach a path at the torch. One physical button releases the arm for positioning, while a second records the waypoint in the company's URCap software. The software coordinates the Universal Robots arm with the welding machine, keeping robot movement and the welding sequence in the same programming environment.
RBCobot kits are offered for MIG/MAG and TIG processes, with software, interface hardware and accessories forming the integration package. Uniwelco also supplies the surrounding welding-machine, torch and table options. Installation support and instructional videos help fabrication staff move from manual process knowledge to setting up and running repeatable robotic welds.

- 2022-02-17 - Deployment - Uniwelco completes RBCobot welding deployment at Guldmann
Guldmann selected an RBCobot with MIG/MAG torches for stainless-steel and black-steel production welding. Uniwelco completed implementation before handing independent operation to Guldmann's own welders. The system combined a Universal Robots arm, Boehler welder, Siegmund table and Uniwelco URCap.

Universal Robots approved RBCobot for user-friendliness and integration within the UR+ ecosystem. The certified kit combined a CE-marked welding package with Uniwelco's URCap control software. URCap functions covered looping, offsets, stitching, weaving, circular welds and live electrical adjustment.

CATEK bought a second welding robot after the first RBCobot had operated for four days. The replacement arrived the following Tuesday and entered service without a lengthy integration cycle. Easy programming let staff move different tasks onto cobots and insource previously outsourced welding work.

The UR-based RBCobot began welding valve housings after a 20-minute first programming session. Operators used the collaborative cell for thousand-piece runs and batches as small as 50. Kurt Jensen reported cheaper output, improved uniformity and plans for a second welding robot.
