About Silicon Sensing
Silicon Sensing manufactures vibrating-ring MEMS gyroscopes, accelerometers and inertial measurement units for applications that require compact, continuously available motion data. Its portfolio ranges from individual CRS, CRH and CRG gyroscopes and CAS accelerometers to DMU and IMU assemblies that combine several sensing axes with calibration and signal processing.
Customers integrate the devices into navigation, platform stabilisation, surveying, robotics, autonomous vehicles and guided systems where satellite positioning may be intermittent or where angular movement must be measured independently. Silicon Sensing controls MEMS design, foundry production, packaging, calibration and final assembly, allowing products to be adapted across commercial and defence qualification requirements. The business is jointly owned by Collins Aerospace and Sumitomo Precision Products.
