About SK Siltron CSS
SK Siltron CSS supplies production-proven silicon carbide materials from crystal growth through wafer fabrication and epitaxy. The company operates manufacturing and development sites in Auburn and Bay City, Michigan, and was established after SK Siltron acquired DuPont’s silicon-carbide wafer business. Its 100 mm and 150 mm products feed power-semiconductor manufacturing.
The company is expanding domestic capacity and has long-term wafer agreements with device manufacturers including Infineon. Robotics relevance is upstream: SiC power devices improve the efficiency, thermal performance and compactness of motor drives, inverters, chargers and other high-power electrical systems rather than forming a robot-specific product line.
