Wardstone is developing a modular interceptor architecture whose propulsion, avionics, seeker, control surfaces, divert system and payload can be combined around different threat and launch requirements. The same component family is intended to support engagements ranging from larger uncrewed aircraft to ballistic and hypersonic missiles.
The company is pursuing both surface-launched and space-based configurations rather than beginning with a complete orbital constellation. Flight programmes are intended to validate individual modules and increasingly representative intercept vehicles before operational deployment. Manufacturing strategy centres on reusable components and production methods that can support larger interceptor inventories than bespoke missile architectures.
