Taku
About
About Taku
Taku is Dyna Robotics’ wheeled semi-humanoid for end-to-end physical workflows. Its human-shaped upper body carries two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, while a folding lower body extends vertical reach and a four-wheel steerable base provides stable omnidirectional movement between workstations. Low-ratio planetary actuators are used to increase arm speed and acceleration.
The robot was introduced with Dyna-2.1 in an uncut one-hour hotel laundry-room demonstration. Taku moved among machines and shelving, operated doors and controls, handled baskets, transferred towels, folded and stacked them, and recovered from some disturbances. The system combines a 100 Hz reinforcement-learning whole-body controller, the DYNA-2 world-action model and a vision-language workflow orchestrator. Dyna identifies customer-site trials as the next milestone for the Taku prototype.
