About avatarin
newme is operated from a PC or smartphone and has been used for remote museum visits, meetings and customer service. The mobile unit combines cameras, communications and an obstacle detector, with up to six hours of continuous operation and an 80% recharge in two hours.
avatarin was spun out of ANA Holdings in April 2020. Its commercial model includes robots as a service, giving organisations access to remote-presence hardware and the supporting connection service without purchasing and operating the full system themselves.
