About
About Composite Energy Technologies
The HADALUS vehicle family combines composite structures, buoyancy and subsea energy storage for long-endurance autonomous underwater missions. HADALUS-XL uses a flat-pack architecture intended to simplify transport, assembly and serial manufacture of larger vehicles compared with monolithic hull construction.
CET also develops carbon-fibre pressure vessels and pressure-tolerant battery systems that address two central subsea constraints: protecting energy storage at depth and providing sufficient buoyancy without excessive structural mass. The company therefore works across both complete vehicle design and the enabling structural and power systems used inside subsea robots.
Team
- Chase Hogoboom - CEO - Leads CET’s autonomous-underwater-vehicle and composite-manufacturing business.
- Ben Rosenthal - CTO - Leads CET’s autonomous and electric maritime-vehicle technology.
- TJ Perrotti - Chief Engineer and Naval Architect - Leads naval architecture and vehicle engineering for CET’s subsea platforms.
Timeline
Events
- 2026-08-10 - Demonstration - Raytheon and CET demonstrate HADALUS autonomous undersea vehicle
HADALUS completed a submerged launch and at-sea mission sequence during the Navy exercise. The companies describe more than 2,000 nautical miles of endurance and a prototype cycle from concept to water in under 18 months. The exercise validated the integrated vehicle in water across launch, submerged operation and mission execution.
Source - 2025-12-10 - Award - Composite Energy Technologies selected for NATO DIANA's 2026 cohort
The programme provides contractual funding and access to DIANA accelerator sites and test centres. The selection supports development and validation of dual-use technology against an Allied defence and security challenge.
