About Mythos AI
Mythos AI builds maritime software for pilot assistance, navigation and vessel autonomy. APAS combines cameras, radar, AIS and other vessel data to give operators a live view of surrounding traffic and recommend manoeuvres.
mNAV extends the navigation and control stack for autonomous or assisted vessels, while mHYDRO applies the same sensing and route-planning approach to hydrographic survey work. The products can be retrofitted to existing vessels, linking perception, route planning and control without requiring a new hull design.

- 2026-09-24 - Production Milestone - Birdon begins construction of first MUSV tranche
C&C Marine is constructing the vessels, Mythos AI provides autonomy technology, and Birdon leads design and systems integration. The companies cite a planned pace of one vessel every two months; the first tranche’s vessel count was not disclosed. The installation was Mythos AI’s first operational APAS deployment on a tanker. APAS integrates with existing ship radar and combines radar perception, machine vision and prioritized crew alerts. The 12-month trial covers live signal processing, collision prediction, safe-navigation support and COLREG compliance.

The deployment brought APAS navigation assistance to Southern Devall’s 12,000-mile service area and marked its first use on the Mississippi River. APAS tracks debris, displaced navigation aids, nearby vessels and lock or dam approaches while calculating dynamic stopping-distance alerts. Southern Devall planned to expand APAS to sister vessels after a successful initial deployment.
