About BUVI Scandinavia
BUVI Scandinavia configures and supplies marine robotic systems for surveying, inspection, environmental monitoring and underwater response. The Sonobot 5 surface vessel can carry single-beam, multibeam, side-scan or forward-looking sonar, cameras and LiDAR. GNSS, RTK or total-station positioning georeferences its data, while supervised waypoint autonomy and manual control support work in rivers, reservoirs, ports and coastal water.
The control suite covers survey planning, sensor settings, live track and data previews, wireless retrieval and export for post-processing. A USBL-equipped Sonobot can also follow divers or underwater vehicles as a mobile positioning and communications node. BUVI adds configuration, training and support around EvoLogics and Oceanbotics platforms. In 2026 it secured a SEK43 million Swedish Defence Materiel Administration contract, including options, for Sonobot 5 systems used to survey waterways before floating bridges are established.
